HB11 Energy’s Lead Scientist – Prof. Dimitri Batani (Université de Bordeaux) – is organising a summer school on the physics of laser produced plasmas. To be held from July 1-10, 2022 in historic town of Erice (Sicily) in southern Italy, this will be the 9th edition of the popular event. Usually held every 2-3 years, due to the global pandemic, this will be the first time the school has been held since 2017.
Many of the most respected scientists and teachers in the field will speak at the event, including Professor Batani’s fellow Director, Matteo Passoni (Politecnico di Milano) who will present on the topic ‘Laser-driven Ion Acceleration’. Students may apply for a scholarship by May 10, 2022 to receive a reimbursement for half the 1200 € fee. For more information, write to: supererice2022@gmail.com
